Folk city singer/songwriter competition is looking for the best songwriters, vocalists, instrumentalists and songs!
In the spirit of the grand tradition of the iconic music venue Gerdes Folk City, the FOLK CITY SINGER/SONGWRITER COMPETITION is an annual contest with the mission to bring attention to today’s best singers, songwriters, musicians and songs in a wide variety of genres. The singers, songwriters and musicians will get the opportunity to have their entries reviewed by a professional panel of well-known, respected judges, while being exposed to an international audience. The competition is open to singers, songwriters and musicians on all skill levels, from amateurs to professionals, from newcomers to those with recording contracts, each competing against artists of like experience and skill level. The categories cover a wide variety of styles and genres.
